My Juvy Raptor Enigma(NOVA) has a problem when striking at her target feeders even if you put it in a feeders dish. Im feeding her super worm which even moves slow. Is this because of the enigma trait or is their a problem in her health? like some deficiences or eye problem? She even misses even if the super worm is not moving.

My Jungle RAPTOR can not catch anything! i have to hand feed her because of this(have you tried that?) Are you feeding her with lights on? My tremper engimas's accereccy goes up by a million once the lights are off otherwise she misses even being hand fed. also does she show signs of the engimas syndrome/spin(Which ever you call it) that could be a problem. Some are so bad they cant eat properly and end up smaller then a normal leo. I seen one that was a year old and the size of a very young juvi. sorry if this isnt that helpful^^;

She does have signs of the enigma trait. She stares at the stars and doesnt mind even if i clean the enclosure. The only problem I have in her is her eating habits. I cant really guess the time when she gets hungry. Some times when I hand feed her she doesnt eat, sometimes she eats but cannot catch when she strikes until she gaves up.

be consistant. Feed her at the same time every day. All mine know exactly what time feeding time is, there smart like that;D. Turn the lights out a hour before you plan to feed thus making them think its "night" and they come out to hunt. What foods are you offering of the supers? My enimgas Dolly cant go for crickets coz they move so much and excite her. I try to stick with things i can wiggle for her to attract her but still nothing thats gonna be to exciting. If she does show signs you may need to hand feed it could get worse its hard knowing with then engimas.

I think this is probably an Enigma thing, since my Enigma used to *always* miss when he struck at feeders. His aim tended to be better when he was hungry, when the lights were dim, or when it was a feeder he really liked (wax worms -- he never missed one of those!). I would certainly go with what Alissa suggested above. Let us know how it works out!

Im giving her reptaid treatment just to be sure. She eats too little for a juvy. Eats like 2 superworms every 5 days. I had the same problem before with my other enigma though, he went hunger strike for 17 days. After the hunger strike he eats like his in a buffet, like 3 large superworms per day.

Have you tried other foods? Super worms are good but some geckos get sick of them. I'd try some dubia roachs. There slower moving and my engimases(is that the plural lol) have no problem catching them. None of my geckos have a probelm. that is a little consuring(how much she's eating) Try other bugs too along with the dimmer lights/no lights, and hand feeding

Now shes eating like 1 superworm every 3 days. I think im gonna consider buying some crickets and remove their hind legs. I dont like to touch roaches. They are creepy hehehe. Shes not eating when I leave the superworm in the dish, but when I gave it to her using tweezers shes eating eat. Shes not weak though, the only prob in her now is her eating habit. She eats too little for a juvy.
