when you mist the enclosure, do you mist the entire enclosure around the gecko? or do you mist the entire enclosure including the gecko?
i've always misted around the gecko but sometimes i mist the gecko himself on accident when he's in a spot where i can't really avoid it.

I just mist the enclosure, if the gecko happens to be in the way...so be it. I don't think it matters as long as your not pelting him with a jet stream of water, like a water pistol, just a light soft mist. Sometimes mine will walk away, and sometimes they stay right where they are.

i have a mister that you pump up and gives a continuous mist. it has a nozzle that twists and ranges from gentle mist to jest stream. I always use the gentlest mist but one day someone was messing with it and it was twisted out to jet stream and i didn't know it. I darn near blasted my crestie, scared me haha. i thought i killed my crestie but i missed fortunately.

I think it depends on the crestie--I have one that seems to like it when I mist--she closes her eyes and starts licking at the water right away, and I have others that run away as fast as they can!

When I had my male I would mist the tank and him but it was very gental spray it will not hurt them to give them a mist once in a while. :)
