Misting the humid hide while it's being used

My Gus has been in his humid hide for about 24 hours. He was looking kind of dull, so I think he's starting to shed. The hide looks like it needs misted, is it ok to mist while he's inside or will it stress him out? I don't want to cause any problems.

I wet mine down regularly when geckos are in. Try not to spray him and it should be ok.

I usually take them out when I need to mist the hide. My geckos really freak out if I accidently sprayed water on them.

I usually move the leo out to mist the hide. i do have 1 gecko who likes a shower though.

I usually take my leo out before I mist just to be on the safe side.

I used a needle-less syringe to wet down the towels without spraying
or moving Gus.
