I have a humid hide in the my tank 1/2 on and 1/2 off the heat pad, and as my leo is currently shedding should i be misting her tank i looked online and there are lots of different opinions on the matter.

Also room temp water is ok yes?

You don't need to mist it really, just make sure she gets all of the shedding off, and mist her if she doesn't get it all off after a day or two.

I don't know if it is just me, but I personally would never directly mist a gecko with water. Not only does that seem incredibly stressful for the animal, but it also seems potentially hazardous to the gecko's respiratory health, which is quite insufficiently equipped to deal with water. If a drop of water got into the nose and found its way into the lungs, it could elicit an infectious, bacteria-thriving environment. Not good.

There is no need to mist the enclosure of a leopard gecko. The humidity of the enclosure will shoot up drastically, superfluously so. The ambient air of the enclosure should never be excessively humid, as they don't require that much humidity, even when shedding. A simple moist hide, dampened and properly moist, will suffice when shedding.
