Mixing Species

So I was searching around youtube when I came across a house gecko being housed with an Anole. I know that mixing species is typically a bad idea, but after talking to the owner of the reptiles he said they live well together and can sometimes be found together basking. So I know mixing species is typically a bad idea but I've given it thought and I want to try it out. If the two don't live well together I do have a 10X10x15 enclouser. Any idvice on this would be very much appreciated. The tank I'd be using is 20X10.5X18, The tank is currently housing a house gecko and filled with hides (I hardly ever see him :p). The tank is covered in foilage and has plenty of climbing space. Also any imput if mixing species is a good idea (I already know it typically isn't). Any advice please :D

The pet store I used to work at housed anoles, house geckos, and long tailed lizards together without much trouble. If you want anoles with house geckos then I would feel relatively safe with that.

When you are mixing species you have to keep in mind several things.
Is this generally an aggressive species?
Do the animals stay around the same size?
Do they inhabit the same living space? Terrestrial versus arboreal
Is either species poisonous?

Generally giving them a very large enclosure and feeding very well can allow for mixing of species but you cannot always predict the way an animal will react because they are all different. I figure that you might as well have 2 smaller enclosures and keep them separately than possibly endanger the health of your reptiles.

I guess if you want to mix be prepared for potential consequences.
