Moist hide

I am sure this is a dunce question but I wanted to ask anyways. Should a moist hide be kept in the terrarium at all times or just when the gecko is about to shed or lay eggs?

All the time. My leos love to go in there and cool off. Especially my male. It is also nice, if you feed crickets, because crickets don't really go in the moist hide and your leo can go in it during meal time for a break.
