Moist Hide

My old moist hide took up to much room so I took it out of the tank and found a new one. this one fits better, but has no lid, and the moist paper towels sit on the ground with this hide on top. My leo doesnt go in it, but the last one he has in 24/7. I think it is because this one is easier to see through. How should I make it feel safer to my leo?

Make it darker. They like places where you can't see them.

maybe you could drape some large-leafed fake vines over the top. i have some in my tank and my leo loves to hide in them.

That sounds like it could work. Do you think a pet store would have one?

sure, that's where i got mine. most pet stores carry terrarium decorations.

i wouldn't use tape unless you're certain you'll be able to get it so none of the stickiness is exposed. i'd hate to see a gecko get stuck to that stuff.

If you want cheap plants, go to a big lots or some other closeout store, you can get supplies there and make your own nice yet cheap pieces.
