moist hideaway

I've always heard that a leopard gecko needs a moist and dry hiding spot. Obviously I'm all set with the dry one but when I try making a moist one it gets incredibly moldy very quickly. What I did was take a rubbermaid container, cut a hole in it, and got moss at the pet store (the kind that comes in solid blocks and to loosen you need to wet). Any critiques or better ideas??

I use 3x5" index card holders from Wal-Mart. I cut a 1 3/8" hole in the front. For substrate, I use folded paper towel, that I moisten with a spray bottle.

I would just suggest paper towels.
