Mold??

I have removed one egg out of a tub I had 3 others in, this one was laid with another which looks really good but this one feels sorta hard and is shaped different, also looks like there is mold growing on it?

I know that mold can spread and I didn't want to risk the other eggs, I held my little flashlight to this one and it glowed a real light yellow color and I seen no veins, so when do you toss bad eggs?

It's most likely infertile if it's glowing yellow and no veins. However I don't toss those until they really go bad. I incubator all eggs till they hatch or rot.

This egg was laid on 12/10/06 and I just took this pic. I knew before Christmas is was infertile but it's till in there, and the other egg in the clutch hatched on 1/27/07.

That's a great pic, it also looks like how mine glows.

But I won't toss it until you just know it's not fertile I've heard many stories about people thinking eggs weren't good when they were. :D

When you first see mold appear put some foot powder on it to kill the mold, desonex (sp?) works well.

Ive had moldy eggs hatch (not infertile of coarse) but mold can get on good eggs too.

Well I added some of that stuff to (my dads foot powder) lol, but I think there is no hope for this egg its looking worse and worse by the day, I candled all the eggs tonight and it's the only one that glows yellow but I still see a vein or 2.

just cross your findgers but Id bet since its glowing yellow if failed to develop. Don't throw it out til it explodes, stinks or has been more than 100 days in incubation just in case.
