couldn't resist to share
: I finally got the first 2 babys from the 2013 season out of my Montanus Ghost Raptor- Group
.
(here a pic for the users that don't remember this baby from 2012 so you know what we are talking about
):
This was the first "true" Montanus Ghost Raptor produced (we hatched a banded version in 2011 who sired this pretty baby above.)
After some time I want to share a little update of the project:
The pairing for the 2013- Season is: Montanus Ghost Raptor x W&Y Montanus het. Raptor
.
This is the Mother:
And to make this post more fun: For comparison here a picture of an "Montanus Albino Ghost" & "Montanus Ghost Eclipse" sibling from 2012 without any W&Y Genes present:
And now the babys that just hatched from the W&Y - cross:
Nr. 1
Nr. 2
Not really convinced that they are eighter normal or W&Y, so time will tell ;-). At least I got 2 very nice Montanus Ghost Banded Raptor :main_cool3:..
And now the fun part: Although the cross obviously was not the same as last year, again both babys show a different eye pattern.
It was not easy this time to get good pictures of the eyes as I didn't want to stress them out so much right after hatching. I will do an update of both in a few weeks.
Sorry for the long post and thanks for reading
.
