I need some advice for a situation I've run into. So recently I saw an online classified ad for a free crestie with tank and supplies. Naturally I had to see what that was about. I was hoping it was a female, since I had a male. The poster wasn't sure which sex it was, so today I went to see the little guy (definitely male). He was bought from a petstore about 3-4 years old, so he was about the same age as mine. He was very small and thin with rib bones showing, and had a kink in his tail. I've seen something like that (but much worse) before in pics of a gecko with severe MBD (bottom pics in link):

So to my dilemma. Should I take the gecko and try to save him? I just started a new job and I don't really have the time or money to do this, but I feel bad leaving him to die. Do I tell the owner how sick he may be? And if the owner does give him to someone else, who knows if the new person will take care of him. I don't know what to do...
