More mating needed?

I borrowed a male crestie about a month ago and have put him with my female twice over the past month. I've seen them mating once and heard them mating another time. They may have mated a couple of other times as well when I was asleep or not at home. I'm in Louisiana, so things here will remain warm for another couple of months. I've heard that cresties can store sperm over the winter, so I'm hoping that my girl will have enough to produce fertile eggs through most of next summer.

My question is whether there's any point in putting them back together again. If she's likely to have collected all that she needed in their first two times together, then I might as well return him to his owner. If there's any point in letting them breed again, I'll rest them for another week and try again.

What do you all think?

Thanks,

Bill
