collared lizards have always held a special place in my heart since one bit me harder than any lizard ever has. i caught one with a noose and when i grabbed it to bag it, the thing grabbed my thumb right at the knuckle. i thought to myself, wow, that hurts! then it *really* bit down. wow!
those are pretty nice looking. it's hard to tell how big they are without some object to compare them with. thanks for sharing!

I got ya on the bite, lol, thats funny but I totally know where your coming from. Many years ago a good buddy wrangled a BIG collared for me and sent it to me. I opened the box to find he packed the guy in a sock. I opened the sock not knowign where or how BIG this boy was and I reached in and WOW did .... I FIND OUT, he was not only waiting for me but he was HUGE, I named him KONG. He had me a bloody mess, :main_laugh: But I was so damn excited to see how beautiful he was I did not mind to much, lol.
*** He turned out to be one of my most beloved and gentle pet lizards I ever had. He was about 5 or 6 when I got him and I had him another 5 or 6 years, before I lost him to age. He grew to about 17 inches.
