First off, Mom looks like a Super Hypo to me. I can't help too much with how the offspring happened, as I just posted a similar thread myself haha. All I know is that RAPTOR has a the patternless stripe gene in it, which is the only way I see the stripe correlation haha. What did mom look like as a baby? It's possible, I think, that she started off with s stripe pattern but lost it since she's a Super Hypo

I was doing some research to answer my own mystery baby question and apparently RAPTORs carry all the pattern (stripe, jungle, etc.) genes? I'm not sure if this is true, but if it is, then the stripes came from the fact that dad's het RATOR....

Don't quote me on that though. I'd like to hear other opinions from those with more experience with RAPTORS

Well the raptor part it this really isnt my question b/c as far as I know for that gene to show would have to be another raptor or het raptor . The breeder I deal with informed me that the raptor gene is what gives them beautiful ruby red eyes, can't wait for my sunglow het rap to be ready

Yeah I just hatched what looks like a banded raptor from my normal x emerine pairing (talk about surprise) but some patterns aren't recessive (like jungle for example) which is why I'm speculating if the striped baby got it's pattern from dad

I believe the eclipse trait was first developed by breeding striped geckos to reverse stripe geckos, hence the patternless appearance that generally goes along with eclipsed eyes and the variable patterns of geckos that are het raptor. I've also heard that the jungle and stripe traits are variations of the same genes so when you breed bold stripe to bold stripe you can get some jungles or vice versa.

The pattern on that baby looks kinda cool! I would guess its some sort of aberrant stripe that stems from the crazy pattern on the dad.
