Looks like a hypo or high yellow. Cute little guy
Thanks! :) will it be easier to tell as he/she gets older? also i was giving him his first feeding in his new home and a few more crux escaped then i wanted, he ate like 7 in 20mins. is this okay? i was told about 5 a day. Thanks so much for feed back.

First, forget everything petsmart told you about leopard geckos. They're better than petco... but they're still horrible.

http://www.geckocrossing.com/Leopard_Gecko_Care.html < Very detailed care sheet I typed up for my site.

The amount they eat depends on the size of the food item. If you're feeding the right size feeders then 7 is fine. It actually may be too little. I know most of my hatchlings up to sub-adults eat about 10-15 correct sized mealworms, crickets or roaches.

It will depend on how much of his dark spots disappear. Usually their coloring change and fade with time.
When they're growing, they will eat quite a bit. For the babies and juvies, I recommend feeding them as much as they will eat. What I do to help my geckos catch the crickets is I cut off their back legs, for the really vision-impaired ones, I will cut off the crickets' hind legs and cut off half of the other legs so they're more like scuttling around. I drop them in front of them and feed them as much they are willing to eat. However, non-albinos are much better at catching the crickets, but I cut off the legs anyway because I don't want the hassle of having to catch those that run too far and too fast, burrowing under the paper towel.
Definitely go look up some of those care sheets written by breeders. Pet shops don't know the first thing when it comes to what they're selling. :)
