Earlier this year I bought this pair of giant leopard geckos off craigslist. The male was said to be a giant suntan and the female a giant jungle snow albino both purchased from Your Gecko Guy. The female was pretty lethargic when I first purchased her and ended up being gravid. She laid 13 eggs: 8 hatched, 4 bad, 1 still cooking. All the babies are very healthy and HUGE. I had some variations in my clutches which is why I need some help.

Three out of the four clutches look pretty similar although the first clutch have very distinct eyes. Both from the clutch have snake eyes? One has half a pupil and a solid black eye, the other has very little color in its eye. Third Clutch really blew me away. They are very bright orange, one is almost solid orange with a pink dot and the other one is orange with a very bold pink stripe. These are all coming from the same parents. Thank you all for your help! I apologize for the terrible photo quality.

Hi, It seems you have a very variated mix with your geckoes. From your female you have a Hypomelanistic Tremper Albino Tangerine and from your male you have Mack Snow Tremper Albino so you can get a lot of combinations here. First of all, all your offspring will be Tremper Albino, 25% of them will get Mack Snow, some of them may show Tangerine color, some may show Jungle pattern, and some will be Hypomelanistic. All this odds can be mixed together. About Snake Eyes, both of you geckos must carry the Eclipse gene (Het Eclipse), so you have a 25% chance to get Eclipse. As you can see within your babys you have all this possibilities mixed together. Does the stripe one has Eclipse eyes?

The parents are also giants so I can't wait to see how big they get! The striped one does not have Eclipse eyes. Other than my first clutch with Eclipse eyes, the remainder have yellow eyes.

Looks like you have a mix of snow raptors and tremper albinos along with one reverse stripe Tremper (possibly snow as well). Stripes and reverse stripes pop out often when eclipse genes and hets are at play. You're either hitting the odds like crazy or one or both of the parents is a raptor as well. Congrats on pretty healthy looking babies!

Thanks for the information! I have a couple questions if you don't mind answering them:

Would the snow raptors be the clutch with the snake/eclipse eyes? Even though they have pattern? I have had a raptor since it was a baby but it was pretty much patternless for the first couple months although I'm sure there are many visual variations within the raptor gene.

Are both babies from my third clutch reversed stripe? One of them shows very little pattern with just two pink spots.
