Morphing (Hatching?) beetle having problems?

I really hope I will get an answer to this post.

On of our pupa is turning into a beetle. Its been at it all day, and it's still not done. How long does that normally take? There's still some of the pupa "skin" stuck to its butt, and it's been working for a few hours now on getting it off, with no progress. Can I help without hurting it or is this normal?

This is our first beetle, so I have no idea. And there is no information about that anywhere.

Just leave it be. It has soft exoskeleton now so if you help it, you might end up damaging its exoskeleton. Don't worry about the beetles, sometimes some experience a bad molt

Usually takes an hour or so for them to emerge at most. Might take longer if your house is really cold. Sometimes they just don't emerge correctly. I usually lose about 10% of mine.

Thanks! It did make it out, but it's kinda "crippled". The right wing is all messed up, and neither one of the wings folds up over its back. I find it on its back all the time, unable to get back on its feet.

We have a bunch of pupae now, and one of them looks like its about to hatch/morph(?). I hope that one goes better.
