I'd never heard of anyone producing giant PA's or giant BB's, are Tremper PA's and Tremper BB's not compatible to the giant gene?

they're all compatable with the giants. infact somones web page on this forum (i cant remember who) has a pic of there male giant bell, i think it wieghes 110gs or something like that. my giant female is 100% het tremper PA. i got her from VMS and shes and adult. they had giant albino PAs at one point.

I`m not sure but I think my Blazing Blizzard has some Giant in his family? Robert Lee(Wahberee`s) produced him, and he has grown pretty large.

I know I keep kind of quiet about my Giant projects, I guess because they do not look much different. I DO have Giant Mack Snows, and Mack Snow Albinos though.:)

outta my freakin mind
The problem that I have had is finding a suitable giant.
Every possible giant that I have tried (1.2) have all proven to be het for Tremper albino. Damn it all.

I didn't want to just hope that the animals didn't have the Tremper albino gene. I took the time to do the test breeding by breeding them to an appropriately sexed Tremper albino. Each one threw me some albinos. So I went 0 for 3 and have for the time being given up on the project.

I do have another plan in the works though. ;)

Biggest problem I think is not all Giants are going to get very large, the heterozygous ones I mean. So unless you have Supers, you are left kind of unsure which are Giants/Supers.

I think some people that are were working on them gave up calling them Giants or possible Giants for that reason.

i agree plus the time it takes to know if they are supers takes longer then what most peple keep there geckos that they are selling

this year im going to hold back ones that are from my bigger animals and only keep supers out of them and that way i can addvertise as such:D

giants are compadible with everything, but as stated above, the giant trait and the tremper albino trait pretty much come togeather. For it to be bred into none tremper gene pools the tremper gene would need to be outbred until there are giants that arent het for tremper. There are giants in the RAPTOR/APTOR gene pool, so im sure there were some giant albino blizzards hatched when RT created "diablo blancos." Also, as stated above, VMSherp had a giant patternless tremper albino project at one time. They sold off their het breeders this season. With the raptor project there have been alot of giant stripes, reverse stripes, jungles, and eclipses produced. Alot of breeders are working with giant mack snows. Right now the most common giants are giant albinos though.

it is possable, but i doubt it. your just going to have to wait till its full grown at around a year to a year 1/2.

Some Leopards grows big naturly....
Our beautiful Bell male from Kelli is nearly five and half month old by now...weight 75g!
But I think he is a normal size...

Yes, some leos are just "big-boned". I have a non-giant male that grew pretty long and weighed 109g and he doesn't look obese at all.

I wish everyone luck in producing super giant blazing blizzards, or super giant patternless albinos; because I really want to have one of those in the future! Good luck and hope it can become a popular morph!

Yep! I have geckos that were 70+ grams at five months. They chilled out though and seem to have found a happy median around 75 grams.
