We have 2 baby leopard Geckos and we have moss in their cave to keep it humid to help them shed. When we feed them crickets, occasionally the crickets hop into the cave on the moss and the geckos are eating them and the moss. Is this harmful for them?

idk know if it is harmful if they eat it .but maybe when you put in the crickets maybe you can take out the cave with the moss let them eat and then put it back in

I don't believe that there have been major health issues been reported with eatting the moss. I normally take everything out of my tanks when i feed my gals. i do this to make sure i know how much each one eats as well as makes things alittle easier to hunt down with nothing in the way.

it might not hurt them, but if i saw my geckos eating something that might not be safe, i would try to change it, just to be safe.
