mother attributes to male young and father attributes to female young?

I know this is a bit off the wall hypothesis but for humans, often male young exhibit higher likeness to the mother in terms of features. Female young exhibit higher likeliness to the father. Have seen a good majority of my friends daughters and sons in this manner. Of course, it is not always 100% of the time but whats the likelihood of this being somewhat possible with geckos? :D Any breeders observe this possibility?

I understand they are not people... however, you are still talking about the crossing of genetic material between male and female which is essentially the same process... All I am asking is if there are line breeders that notice some of the traits from mother geckos passing more to male offspring than female...
