hi,
I have been on the hoilday for the 4 days and I had to leave my leo behind I got my nabour to feed my leo, 2 locust but when i got back my leo had moulted and now he has this flappy skin on his head is he ok and I have found bits of his/hers skin around the tank. my second worry is he has not had enough calcium I dusted my mealworms before I went but for the last 5 day my leo has had no calcium I cant get any locust till tuesday will it be ok. My other opion is a put calicum in a bowl but on the calcium pot it says only to dust them will be ok to put in a bowl.
thanks

yes hell be fine. if the flappy bit on his head is all that's left you can help him out and pull it off, be carefull around the eyes and ears. check all his toes to make sure that the skins all off those too other wise they could fall off if left to long.
not having calcium is okay for a few days, its only when it gets left of a very long time it becomes a problem.
and yes its fine to leave a small bowl of calcium in the tank for him to eat as he wants. :)

i have a gecko thats a bad shedder so every time he sheds i have to use a pair of tweezers to pick his toes off.
if there is still skin on his toes you need to get it off right away.
take a small Tupperware box and put lots of holes in the lid. put a small amount of warm water in it (just enough to cover his feet/touch his belly)
put the gecko in with the lid on (to stop him coming out) for a few minutes then use a pair of tweezers or cotton bud to ease the skin off.

If his feet are infected an easy home remade is to bath the feet in warm salty water once a day. also remove any sand or loose substrait and keep him on paper towels to prevent things sticking to them.
and of course a vet trip is always recommended to make sure.
