about a year or more...
- Where was he/she obtained (ex. Pet store, breeder, wild caught, friend)
was found outside by an acquaintance during october of a very cold year. they ket it for a while but were unable to care for it so ive had him since

A) Health/History
- How often do you handle your leo
not as often as i should. i try but he is uninterested. i dont think he was properly cared for at all before he got to me.
- Is your leo acting any different today? If so how does he/she normally act which differs from now.
not eating, seems sluggish, mouth slightly opened on right side with a small amount of crustiness toward the back
- Has he/she had any problems in the past, if so please describe.
had mites when i first got him but quickly gained appetite and size once cleaned up and given heat, real tank, hides, etc. i think the mites affected his vision for a bit but seemed fine after a week or two
- also the tip of his tail a few months back somehow came off...i found it in the tank, kept everything very clean, sprayed the wound with neopsporin occasional - it grew back and looks great
B) Fecals
- Describe (look any different than normal)
was runny for a few times but dry now...small amounts since his appetite has gone away but seems dry. I used to have sphagnum moss in his humidity box but i noticed it was in his feces a lot when i began to notice his decrease in food intake, quickly changed to paper towels.
- When was the last time he/she went
C) Problem
- Please briefly describe the problem and how long it has been going on
mouth slightly opened on right side with small amount of crust where top lip meets bottom. no appetite or no interest in trying, sluggish, lost weight in tail, has shed in the last week

Housing:
A) Enclosure

- How are you feeding (hand fed, left in dish, ect)
hand fed, dish, and just let him hunt
B) Supplements (describe how often)

flukers calcium with d3
- What are you gut loading food with
flukers cricket quencher w/ calcium and flukers cricket food
dust worms and cricket with powder

so after his tail broke off i watch him a lot. his eating slowed because he was hiding so much but soon his appetite came back. but all of a sudden he stopped eating again about a month ago, has lost weight (although most was during the tail healing) and he does seem interested in 'hunting' but never seems to eat and is no longer interested in me hand feeding (which he would always do). ive just noticed in the past few days his mouth slightly opened on one side and a small crust forming. i was able to get some pictures today and a great one of him looking like he is yawning. although i do not know if this is a yawn or some other sign. he does it very frequently and has never that much before.i feel pretty shitty for not noticing this before and i am in the process of looking for a good local vet that deals with herps. My poor Jimi :(.

It appears to be either an abscess of some sort or mouth rot. Either way it needs to be treated by a herp vet as soon as possible or it will get much worse. I am sure that is extremely painful for the poor guy.

100% agree. The picture of him with his mouth open makes me think that the spot you see on the outside is much worse on the inside. I would get him to a herp vet ASAP. If you don't already have one you use, Arav has a great "find a vet" page that lists vets that are certified in many states and countries! Good luck!

so i brought him to the vet. he is on antibiotics, which the vet gave him a shot of but theres no way i could have done that alone at home so i went with the oral version. im having an extremely hard time giving him that plus forcefeeding him because he has not eaten...any tip or tricks? he just squirms away very violently and ive tried to put a little on his lips to lick off and he either rub it off onto something or violently shakes his head til its off, which im scared he is going to bash his face on something.
