Mouth rot

update

Ok so I have been using Baytril from my vet, the chewable dog and cat kind. I crush up 1/4-1/2 of the pills and mix it with some sweet potato baby food, and a lovely blended mixture of meal worms, phoenix worms, super worms, calcium powder, and vitamins. It is torture getting poor pitiful Coesus to eat a 1/4 of a tsp of this mixture daily, but.... two weeks later, he is looking much better.
I clean his jaws daily with a q-tip moistened with water and diluted iodine. Then I apply polysporin.
I no longer see the terrible symptoms that I had seen previously which included: Hard, dark crust between the lip and jaw, a row of cartilage (teeth I am guessing) pulling from the jaw, and bleeding when cleaning.

I've never experienced mouth rot (knock on wood) but I glad you updated us on the situation. Hopefully the Baytrill will keep up the good work.
