Ok well there are some of us out there (metal heads) that are very easy to spot what kind of music they listen to.

But when you're alone and you THINK noone is watching or listening, what are your music guilty pleasures?

I'll start off. I normally enjoy the likes of Metallica, Trivium, Machine Head. But from time to time.......i will listen to.......

Brittany Spears and Justin Timberlake......yes shameful.....

don't hold back lets see those guilty pleasures....

He started this thread because he's listening to my ipod. I guess that means I must admit that I like singing some of the stupid little kid songs that I heard over a million times when I did child care for 9 years. I also catch myself singing jingles from commercials like the free credit report.com commercial. Hey! Tell your friends, tell your dad, tell your mom!

I think i just threw up in my mouth.....

When i think of guilty pleasures and being a metalhead usually groups that come to mind are just cheesy, obvious mainstream fodder to wannabe teen metalheads like Linkin Park, anything Atreyu has done in the past 4 years, Papa Roach, Avenged Sevenfold and so on. They're all catchy but are radio bands through and through with almost no depth to them at all. Rap-rock/metal falls into my guilty pleasure sometimes too, like Hed(pe). The biggest guilty pleasure i have regarding music is listening to the Sweeney Todd soundtrack obsessively for awhile.

Pop groups, especially boy bands are strictly prohibited in the metal world & if someone in my group were to be revealed listening to that he/she would be ridiculed mercilessly for their betrayal of our beloved art form, if it were the days of old they would most likely have been taken outside and stoned to death lol.

I don't know if you could call me a metal head.. More like a metal snob. I'm straight death metal and black metal.. I hate bands like Metallica (sorry guys!).. Death metal fans might be interested to know that I was a bassist in a death metal band for some time!

My guilty pleasure.. Is probably the Beastie Boys. Nothing's a stranger sight than me rockin' out to Brass Monkey. :p

I don't listen to metal...oops lol I'm more of a Hip-Hop/R&B fan ;) So something of my guilty pleasure might be pop...it depends. I'm guilty of listening to the raido and enjoying some of the boy band music on there. Also guilty of knowing some of NKOB's new songs hahahahahahahahaha bwahahahaha

Ah well ;)

I admit, i can't stand death metal and black metal for the most part. There are a couple here and there i like, but its very few and far between. I try my best not to pick on people who do like it b/c it's at least part of the same genre I just can't get into it b/c of the vocals....or lack their of. I don't mind hybrids though like deathcore and such....a band that comes to mind is As Blood Runs Black.

And I felt guilty for listening to Nickelback. :D

You're not alone bud, on principal i HATE Nickelback...they are everything i hate about rock (redneck, annoying and just plain horrible lyrics) but at the same time i must admit i have found myself singing along to a couple songs on the radio before (that one about sex and one of their first big singles i believe). Sometimes you just can't help yourself.
