Just showing off my geckos from this thread I made here.
Here's an update 1 and a half week since getting them.

So young and their personalities are already showing through.
Gecko 1 comes out and is curious and moves around my hand when I'm moving decor to feed/clean.
Gecko 2 is skittish and hides for a the whole day when I move decor around to clean but the bugger picks the most inconvenient corner to poop :(

They are really cute geckos!!
Hehe I know what you mean. Oliver always poops next to his shed box. I tryed moving it so he could poop in the corner but no... Oliver wants to poop there. *sigh*

Thanks! They are called Gecko 1 and Gecko 2 until they get older and I can sex them.
They are in a 40g breeder split with a divider down the middle so they each have 18x18 to play around each along with an approx 10x8 second level.

Yes I've always though what if I dragged the poopy toilet paper to another corner so he/she can get the scent next poopy time but I don't like the idea of leaving poop in the enclosure.

Nice little geckos! Are your tiles smooth or rough textured? I ask because I tried putting tile that was apparently too smooth in. My gecko shakes his feet and bites at them with his mouth when he walks on them, almost like he thinks something is on his foot that makes it hard to walk. He does the same thing when he walks on newspaper. But not if I use paper towel substrate where he can get more footing. I was bummed because the tile looked so nice!

My tiles are ceramic.. I did notice a slight foot slide one time when it was doing its thing where its staring down the prey and ever slowly getting closer and closer. But they still seem very sure footed when they are jittering around the cage.
My previous setup was slate. I find they hold heat way better than the current ceramic ones and have better texture/grip. I heard that slate is bad for absorbing bacteria though but I never had problems before.. As soon as I can get my hands on a wet saw, I may make the change back to slate.

I use an uth with a thermostat for each of the enclosures.
So far they haven't used the upper levels as Im expecting them to use the upstairs when they are bigger and older.

They've only been eating pooping and hiding, as babies do. lol

The tiles I was using were slate. But they seemed pretty smooth. Yesterday afternoon I put a few back in so that some of the tank is slate and some is paper towel. He seems to be doing ok with it now.
