I have had my male bearded dragon since he was 4 weeks old and we use to be able to pick him up with ease but lately he has been acting like a cricket, jumping away from us when we try to pick him up andhe snaps at us. Now we have adult dragons that do not act this way but we have noticed that when our beardies hit this age I would say about 7 months old they become evil lol.

Anyon else have this problem?

Lol well I presume since we continue to hold him and battle the bite wounds he will get use to us holding him soon? I hope lol atleast he isn't as bad as Chili who flattens like a pancake and opens her mouth at you if she doesn't like you lol

By the way I think Chili will always be mean to others because she is mad at the world because she only has three legs lol and was formally known a Tripod

We have two males and they did the same thing around that age. One especially enjoyed bobbing at the cats and trying to charge them through the glass. :main_laugh:

Our male showed some of the same behavior at around 6 months but settled out a few months later. He would run away from you and puff hes beard out, sometimes opening his mouth up. Never tried to bite or anything. After you got him he would calm down, but he seemed to have a look about him while being held like "Dang it, I'll get you next time(insert evil dragon laugh here)!

He calmed down completely a few months later though and now loves to be brought out to hang out.
