My nephew (11) was over helping with geckos and I finally took a quality pic!

I'm finding with the right light and a bit of patience you can get great pics even with a 'crappy' camera. I still look forward to a DSLR...

Thanks Chris!

Mine is a Panasonic DMC-LZ3 6 MP... It was a gift so I'm very grateful to have it... I'm saving for Canon EOS 30D.

Great image and nice looking gecko there!

As for the DSLR, I own a few canon DSLR's(1D, 1Ds) and you can't go wrong with them(XTI,D30). Funny thing is, I use a 4mp fuji digi for my leo images though because I shoot wildlife with telephotos on My DSLR's. You really can't go wrong with nikon, canon, olympus, .... All DSLR's are good, but I am a CANON/ NIKON owner.

Thanks Casper, Paul and Brett!

Yeah, I'm sticking with Canon. I've always wanted to own one. I'll use it mostly for macro stuff, but if I get a telephote lens someday I'd love to shoot wildlife.

The canon 100f2.8 macro is great and costs around $470 at adorama and B&H(both very great places to shop online) I suggest you shop those places for ALL camera needs.
