My BTS doesn't like my cooking :(

I was making cookies, and every time i cook something, regardless what it is, he will climb his cage, like this:

BTW I didn't FEED him a cookie, he is just in the kitchen, so I think he can smell what I am cooking.

That's not his normal cage, I assume? What does his real cage look like?

He isnt mine, we are just babysitting him for the summer. His real cage has hardly any vhenalation, just pegboard in the back. he hates being closed in like that, because other than like no air it is only 30gal. He will try to get out by all means possible. The other one is a bit smaller(travel cage), but it is wire, and he prefers that more than the other. He will sit there and watch my family do work and stuff.
