I had been doing this but got too lazy to keep it going (and didn't have any extra heat sources, so they didn't breed too well). I should start it up again though. Let us know how it works out.

Being in FL I really don't have to worry about temp issues. I just keep it in my garage and it will stay anywhere from 80+ with no help most of the time!

Lucky being in Florida! I'm Canadian Eh and I have such a hard time keeping my terrarium temps up in the winter lol. Good luck on your crickets, love the set up!

Just a quick question for the mealworm guide.
"The beetles will die, while the larvae will grow and repeat the cycle."
Do they die after they lay their eggs?

yes they really only turn into beetles to procreate.
