I was expecting eggs from my female. This morning she lay 2 eggs. It is her first year and first clutch. Here are some pics. I have a question though.

I was using the deli cup with damp vermiculite to stabilize my incubator's temps. Then she lay and I put the 2 eggs in that deli cup. The deli cup has been in for about 2 weeks but I didn't open it till today. Would that be enough humidity to last the rest of the season for these eggs?

The eggs are still soft. Is that Normal? Do they take a day to harden?

Congrats and good luck with them! They should harden up, but resist the temptation to check on them, candle, them, poke at them, etc. Patience is the key, as hard as it is.

Thanks! I will definitely try not to look at them or candle more than once. The only thing I will do is make sure the incubator temps are within range.
