Well I woke up this morning and went about my daily routine. Feeding my daughter, letting dogs in and out, turning on turtle light, checking on my geckos. Well all was fine except my new baby Zoey was missing. I have kept Geckos for a little over a year now and have never had an escape. I had read stories on here so I was was always super careful. Well last night I had left the top of her cage. I almost knew when I saw the top lying on the chair that she wouldn't be in there. I checked and of course she was gone. She is very curious and is always trying to climb out on my hand. I keep her cage up on a bookshelf about 4 feet off the ground. Well I was terrified and actually shut my daughters head in the door when she tried to follow me into the room. She ran and got her daddy and he brought the flashlight. I found her under another bookcase. She wasn't hard to catch but she was so very cold when I picked her up. I checked her over for broken limbs and flipped her over for signs of injuries. She was fine just cold. I let her warm up and she ate a good size roach and she seems that the incident has not dampered her curious nature. I will be moving her down to a lower shelf today just incase this happens again. It was one way to start the day.
