Ok, so I didn't get a chance to take pictures while building it. But this is the finished product. It is using the Sterilite 1753 tubs that I found at Target on sale for only $2.99 ea. I decided to buy 24 of them since thats what they had available LOL!

I built the cage out of 3/4" Melamine only because I do not know of any place to buy PVC sheets anywhere nearby. I had wanted to try my hand at a PVC cage, but this will do for now.

So here it is in between my 2 Boaphile racks. I used 12 feet of 4" heat tape I bought from Pangea and it's hooked up to my Spyder Robotics Herpstat 2.

This rack, for the moment, houses my 2013 hatchlings, as well as the one to the right.

The blue 18 gallon tub on top is my colony of B. Dubia which is currently thriving quite well!

This next rack houses my Adults with dividers purchased from C Serpent Racks. They fit pretty well, but I have had a smaller female find her way either under or over the thing. She was just shy of 40 grams when I'd find her on the other side with my APTOR girl. To the far left is my Mealworm drawer which I have to replenish cause these new babies have eaten me out of house and home LOL

Hope you guys like it, don't mind my clutter on top of the rack! LOL

Looks great! I was just looking into building a rack myself just yesterday. if you don't mind me asking, how much did the entire project cost you?

Thanks!

The sheet of Melamine was $39.95 + tx at my local Home Depot. I then bought a box 8x2" screws for $7.98, a piece of Panel board for the backing for $13.65, panel nails for $2.37, 12' of 4" flexwatt with priority shipping was around $43, and the foil tape for taping down the flex watt for $7.88. So about $115 for just this one rack minus the tubs. With 10 tubs, that was an additional $30, only because they were on sale. Otherwise they would have cost around $45 for the 10 tubs. So $145 + tax, likely around $155 total. The rack next to it from Boaphile cost me $379 shipped with 10 tubs. So it's much cheaper to do it yourself if you have the tools to make the cuts and pre drill the holes.
