My First Gecko - Zoe

I wasn't planning on having a gecko so soon!
Was originally planning to pick one up from the Columbia, SC ReptiCon, but I got too overly tempted when I was clicking through links on the ReptiCon site and came across some local breeders.

One of which was just down the road from where I live!
So I called up and met with Chris of Palmetto Geckos

And after a lot of talking and me staring wide eyed as he graciously introduced me to just about every animal he had, I went home with my girl.

A rainwater leo who I named Zoe!

I just snapped a few quick photos while she was out looking around and then let her be
I'll get better photos after she's used to her new home, but for now, just a quick vanity shot.

i have to wait until our next reptile show... i think that's like... in january...

i don't know if it can wait though... i can't find any localy, and i want to know what it's genes are and such...

sigh...


everyone over here just has trempers... unless there's a breeder near me that is hiding... lol...

just a good healthy dose of spoiling! I'm not terribly over doing it!
She seems to like her new living space She woke up around 9-10pm and has been exploring ever since. I brought my laptop by her tank to sit and watch her to see how she's doing in her new surrounding. She's absolutely fascinating to watch as she learns about things in the tank.

And you're also welcome to come see her anytime you want!
I can imagine that it can be a rarity to have one of your Leo's go to someone just a few minutes down the road!
