My First Geckos

I have had a tank set up for months, just waiting for its first, and my first, geckos. For Christmas, my husband gave me a virtual gift certificate for 3 geckos. I got these 3 locally, since I want more exotics eventually but will hold out until the next reptile show; by then I should know the gender of these 3 for sure.
For now, they are Larry, Moe, and Curly; larry and moe are the albinos, and curly is the yellow. Once they develop genders, I'll probably rename them something more suitable.

You need to be careful. From the looks of things you have a light on the albinos. Not a good idea. They are sensitive of the light. I keep mine in tubs because I have too muny, but I had a nice bell about a year ago and didn't kno anything about albinos and almost lost her when the pet store took her back. These guys here can help you because yea. You can tell from alot of pics they can't see!

Hey Nice geckos! I'm going to be the jerk and say they shouldn't be on sand if that's what that is.It almost looks like a rock. And it's really bright. I dunno if it's the flash or if you have a light on them, but if it's a light, you really shouldn't have it on them.

They are very nice geckos. That tank looks very creative. I would definitely be careful with the stacked tile type things. They can easily fall over crushing your geckos. Since they look nice there, I would glue them to each other so there isnt a possibility they could fall.

Aquarium epoxy :)
(Also, I'm a geologist. THerefore, I have an excess of rocks. I figured I'd capitalize on this; the tank furniture is constructed of sandstone, slate, petrified wood, and a couple non-toxic mineral samples. )

Whole Tank

I am trying to get a decent whole-tank shot but the flash is just ruining any depth to the setup, it looks all flat and weird. (And shows every dang fingerprint on the whole tank.)
Thank you all for the compliments and wishes, I have been lurking here and Kingsnake, and reading up on geckos since September or so, trying to get really prepared for owning these little guys.

The worst part is knowing that I like a couple of the patterns on geckos in the local PetSmart and knowing good and well that buying any of those geckos is a horrible idea.. but they are RIGHT THERE.
Who knew that it was going to be such a long wait for a reptile show in Los Angeles???

Very nice setup, I'm glad to here some people actually still do their homework before blundering into things. Kudos to you, and welcome as well.
