I present to you Escobar!:D Anyone by chance know what morph he is? From looking around he seems like a high yellow or hypo tangerine but he has green/blue on his head?? :main_robin: I got him from a friend who picked him up in a batch of high yellows he just got, along with his murphey's patternless(sp?) I can't wait to see what he'll look like, hes about a month or so old!

Heh, already planning on getting more after this lil guy. I'm going to the Hamburg reptile show next weekend to get him some ladies :) Wondering what would be some good morph's to breed him with?

While it's exciting and everything to get a new pet, you might want to wait on getting more. Get used to taking care of one first. Get your husbandry down. Then maybe get another if you still like them. Definitely don't jump straight in to breeding without even a year of experience with one gecko.

I hear what your saying with this. I happen to have a friend who is an experienced breeder to help guide me. Now this is my first Leo, but not my first reptile, as I've had many over my many years. First one I'm attempting to breed though. I would not even try it if I didn't have the friend who's bred them before. It wont be for many months anyways as hes still a baby and the females I'll be getting from the show will presumably be babies as well. But I heed your warning and thanks for the advice. :main_thumbsup:

You're quite welcome! Always nice to see a calm and rational response to some friendly advice instead of going off the deep end on me like some people tend to lol :p

I think it's great that your so enthusiastic about these little guys. Hopefully by the time everyone is big enough to be able to breed you'll have a better understanding for how and what goes into it. My only advice is to be careful and choose wisely what you breed. You really don't want to breed geckos that there is little to no market for or you will be stuck with them all to take care of, meaning you will need to buy racks and thermostats and everything else to take care of them. (you will need to do this regardless if you are breeding….count on at least $4-500 just to get started with a basic rack setup) There's really no sense in breeding a high yellow or low grade tangerine. If you want to breed, invest in some high quality morphs that you will be able to sell because they have a market and people want them. People do want tang's, but they want really high quality, bright orange ones and those can cost in the hundreds of dollars. Other than that, have fun with your new hobby and best of luck in the future.
