My First Leopard Gecko

So Ive been planning to get a leo for a long time and today I finally bought one at a reptile show. They sold it to me as a Blizzard but it has a lot of yellow too...I dont know Im not good a morphs. Im just glad I finally got a leo.

Oh and it needs a name too. I think its a male, but just in case I want to have a unisex name. Thanks!

Sounds perfectly normal . As she gets used to her place and gets over the shock of moving, she'll probably come out more and more. If you have an undertank heating pad, then the tank's set up great, from what I can see. Congrats on your new "addiction"!

That is a very nice gecko. With the color issue I dont know I am honestly not that good with morphs yet. :main_laugh: How old is well it so you may be able to check to see if it is male by the pores. Honestly I have no idea on a unisex name. For guy names you could do spike, zues, leo or something like that. For a girl Salvia, Snow and I cant think of anything else at the moment. Everything looks right though.

I have a heat pad running 24/7. Your right on the "addiction" part. Im already thinking about getting another one. And I think its a male cause i can see what look like pores, but since its my first leo im not sure...

Try to get a side-along picture of his/her's vent. Do you have an idea of how old she/he is? I just gave into the addiction too with a new Blazing Blizzard. They're like potato chips; you can't have just one:main_rolleyes: Good luck with your new one, she/he's awesome!

From the pictures, the Leo looks old enough to be able to know the gender, but some just grow fast. Hmm...I don't know much names that are both genders, but here are some male and female.

very pretty gecko you got there. looks like a blizzard to me. Some blizzard do have yellow. Some people sell them as banana blizzards. Bit either way yours is very pretty and congrats.

a way you can get a shot at its vent is to stick it on a piece of glass and take the picture from underneath. it wont be a side shot of the vent but it might help some of the people here who are really good at sexing them figure it out for you.

OK i cant get a picture my camera sucks too much. But i looked up pictures on the internet and i think it looks like a male. It has the V shaped pores and you can kinda see the buldges. So i think its male. Thanks for your help everyone!
