my first setup!( please be nice!)

ok this is for the little gecko im getting in a few days! some might have read my other post about my friend giving me a tank, well he is retarted and can not tell the difference between a 10 and a 20 gallon! lol this is a standard 10 gallon tank. the food dishes are not in there nor are any of the dishes! they will be in there when the little one arrives! lol so what do you think? also the gauges are not inthere! i have to get some new ones! lolol

Which is the warm side and which is the cool side? Do you have an under tank heater?

At first I only saw the first picture and said "Oh, its an ok tank." Then I saw the other pictures, and said "Wow! Awesome two story set up."

the left hand side is the warm side and that big white thing is the undertank heater. i got it for free and its ajustable! lol i put the second level above the hot side because it would be just alittle cooler( say 2 or 3 degrees) so he will have not two but three different temp zones! that way he can go just were he is happy! lolol

lol its paper towels! lol i had to fold then in two so that they worked the way i wanted. but they are just plain paper towels!!

Is it a UTH specifically for reptiles, or is it a heat pad for people use? If it's a people head pad, I'd replace it with a reptile UTH as soon as you can. They can pose fire hazards because they're not meant to be on all the time. The best thing to do is get a UTH and a thermostat to make sure your temps are right. A rheostat will also work if you have a good digi thermometer with a probe.

Otherwise, it's looking good. :main_thumbsup:

thanks! i plan on getting a 20 gallon long soon ( next few months) it will also have another level. i thinking one on the hot side and one on the cool side. we will have to see! lolol if yal can i have posted about the temps in this section so if you can please respond to it. man i cant wait!!!

I would just suggest making sure the edge of the moist hide are dull so that they dn't hurt the gecko(s). If you haven't already

Also make sure that the ramp from the second story is solid and wont fall

Other than that, looks really good!
