sorry, there are quite a few pictures. well, i woke up this morning and saw the first one, and when i got home from work the other was coming out and i got to watch it hatch. unfortunately they took after there mother and seem to have acquired retic patterning with no orange or red, but there my first two auric hatchlings so im just glad to have them. the second seems like its retic, but there also kinda looks like there is a stripe right down its center of the back, so ill be hopeful! thanks for looking!

awww!!!
They're SO CUTE!!!!
I, personally, like retic patterning, but having said that, the girl I'm getting is striped.

Congrats to you!!!!

Also, there may be a chance that they could get some of the color you're looking for (assuming mom or dad have orange or red on them) as they age. :D

Did I mention that they're ADORABLE???

yes, the first hatchling does have some unique patterns. The female is a retic and male is striped. The female shows some red, while the male is a nice black/white/brown contrast. Ive had a friend of mine with two normal reticulated parents hatch out some really nice orange blotch reticulated offspring. So ill see in a few months what i have ;).

i looked over the second retic today and it looks like there might be some yellow/orange blotches comming in already ;)! well, got home from work today and saw this lil garg hatching. theres one more left for this months clutches, which will probably hatch tonight or tomorrow. parents were the same striped male and a different retic mother. sorry about all the pics, im just pretty excited about my first auric clutches!

heh, tell me about it! the 4th and last egg for this month just fully hatched and is another stripe. i have cresties, a chewie, and of course gargs as far as rhacs go...id really love to jump into leachies but that will be an expensive hobby and i have to keep thinking about it. i almost bought one the last 2 shows i was at so i suppose it wont be long until that happens!!

Nice looking garg hatchling. Congrats.
I see you use the APS. How do you like this medium and what convinced you to switch over (or have you been using it for from the beginning)?

well, i wasn't having much luck with perlite. and i didn't really have the time to weigh containers to see if they needed water and what not. i'm on repashy forums quite often and saw the reviews of it on there. i know those are his forums and people aren't gonna bad mouth the product...but its a pretty good medium. i've only had 4 eggs hatch from it, but i haven't lost any. so, so far i've had a 100% hatch rate, and i'm using it with all my other eggs. its especially easy to just glance at the medium to tell if it needs water or not. and being that its reusable is a plus.
