The problem I have is that people are saying one of my gecko's is a Blizzard yet others say they both are Patty! LOL. So my most recent pics follow.

They are correct in saying one is patty and one is blizzard. These are very similar, and hard to be 100% sure with these particular geckos.

I'm going to say the male is blizzard. Paradox spots are a bit more common in blizzards, and there is very little color in the tail.

Therefore, I'll say the female is patty, due to having more color in her tail. You can also faintly see some "pattern" on her head, which would be left over from having a pattern as a baby. Or, I could be seeing things.

Actually I cant see any patterns on her head but she does have a scar from rubbing her shed off her head.

One way to find out, get a blizzard female...one that's a for sure blizzard...and breed it to the male. If you get blizzard babies, then you have your answer.

The adults both look like pattys to me... you can tell by the purple tails, they arent white like blizzards.

I can't see the pics (work is blocking them), but you can easily tell a blizzard baby from a patternless. As an adult I know there can be difficulties in telling the difference. Again please remember I can't see the pics. But if the babies did not come out normal looking then either both are blizzards or they are patternless. Or both parents carry both genes. In either case when it comes to the babies you can tell the difference. Although I have no clue what a Patternless Blizzard looks like at any age.

I hope that makes sense and helps. I am also assuming the hatchlings are the offspring of the two geckos in question.

Stitch, yes the babies came from the mother and she has been in my position and never been breed. Thats why I am curious as to whats going on. Both were sold thro different breeders as Patty to me the male was already an adult and had no offspring. Kind of neat though as I will breed a male and female hatchling together in time.

I'm at home now and can see the pics. I would have said both are Patternless if you ask me. But yes if both are patternless the babies should have came out as patternless as well. Maybe one is a Banana Blizzard and the other a Patty. The spotting on the one baby reminds me of the spotting some people noticed on the blizzard hets. Just food for thought.
