my gecko is not shedding =(

How long should a gecko be in pre-shed? My sunglow is not shedding! Shes been like this for more than 2 weeks now. I mist her humid hide regularly and I have her on moss. My substrate is newspaper. She is around 4-5 months old. I soak her in warm water almost every night but still nothing is happening.

I'm not sure how long...I've never counted it. You really don't need to soak her that much though, you don't want them getting too moist. If her humid hide is moist and she's got nice hides she'll shed on her own. You should only have to soak her if she's having a hard time shedding...meaning she's got stuck shed on her.

Their color changes as they grow. Some develop more pattern, some develop less. I can't say from a photo, if yours is just changing or not shedding. They do begin to rub on things when it's time for the old skin to come off to help get it started. Some of mine rearrange their cage during this process.

Should I help her shed? Or just let her shed on her own? Ill be away for more than a week and Im worried that something might happen to her while Im away.

Let her do it. When some of the skin is removed before it's ready, open sores can be the result. Hopefully she'll be all fresh and pretty for you upon your return

Just got back form my trip and I immediately checked on her and I noticed that she had some loose skin on her head but she cant seem to shed so I helped her.
This is what she looks like after. I guess she turned white. Weird
