My gecko is starting to shed?

So when I got him, I noticed he was a bit dull in color..and now today (say 4 days later) he is getting to a white coloration. Is he about to shed?

I have wet paper towels in my 'humid hide' which is inbetween my cold and hot side- but they dry out a lot. I don't have access to moss right now..

Is there any way I can speed up his process? Like, should I mist him with water?

Thanks

Just provide the basic needs for him to shed properly with the moist hide and he'll do the rest on his own. Don't force his shed. It'll happen in due time.

When mine shed it makes me nervous because of all the horror stories I have heard. So I make sure the hide is nice and moist with paper towels and then as soon as I notice it starting to come off (or if I think it may happen while I am at work) I spray the whole tank down and make it nice and humid. She has always had great sheds with no problems. Everyone does things a little differently but that seems to work well for me. I am sure your little guy will be just fine! Good luck!

what is your humid hide?
if it's drying out super fast, than you may need a something that is better sealed.
A tupperware with just a big enough hole for your leo to get in and out often works great.

All you need to do is provide it. If your leo needs it, then it will use it.
If it makes you feel any better, my girl shed just without even going near her humid hide recently :)
