I've read on this site in numerous threads/posts that most geckos take a few days or even a week before they start eating in their new surroundings. My gecko took a few days when he arrived.

What's your set up like? Can you post a pic of your gecko? What are your temps in the tank? This will help other more experienced gecko owners answer with better information.

the tank heater is located in the picture and the temperature gauge is on the oppisite side of the heating pad and it is between 70 to 75 but i dont think it is very acuate and i s
also think it is reading a different temp

The temp probe should be directly on the heat mat area. Also he should have a hot hide, a cool hide, and a moist hide. They are nocturnal so if you're providing him a daylight bulb you're not doing him any favors and some react poorly to it. You need to get your habitat right before you can really see him adjusting properly to his new environment imo. When I got my leo shipped to me I asked the breeder a TON of questions, what temps he was use to, how he heated, how and when and what he fed, how often he dusted... I mean everything. I tried to simplate this as much as possible, and it took my fella about 4 days before he would eat. He was uncomfortable because he went from a tub enclosure to a naturally decorated viv, and I know that was a bit of a shock for him, but now he is eating like a pig, gaining size, fixin to have his first shed with us, confortable with being handled, and really doing well.

Put the cave directly on the area where the heating pad is. It looks like your not feeding live crickets. I would try live crickets and meal worms. Personally I would not be using that reptile carpet.

would this be a good hide for him i can go and purchase a hide like on the right so would this be good .the big rock and the cave hide and catus all came with the kit and found that the big rock with the 2 openings was too big so i took it out and put the castus in and even now the catus dosnt fit very well .i live in a rumor area with no pet store so i can get another hide unless i order it .so will this be a good warm hide for him

I would take the catus out and the tall big rock thing doesn't look like it would work to me either. Maybe someone else has used that type before.

You can make a hide out of a simple tupperware type container, the small food type containers. Just turn it upside down and cut an opening in it wide and tall enough for your gecko to go in/out of it. That will do until you can order a better one online or buy on from a store. I found the sandwich size one works good.

Here's some care sheets to look at to help you with your new leo.

Your temp sounds too low and that can also affect how the gecko eats, which could be poor eating and poor digestion.

There needs to be a hot side & cool side. Hot side should be in the mid 90s degrees and the cool side 75 to 80. A hide needs to be placed on each side. The moist hide, that is needed to help with sheeding properly, is kept where you like to put it. People keep theirs in different spots. And those little stick on dial thermometers, they are pretty much worthless from what I've read & been told, for many reptiles. You can find a good cheep probe thermometer at walmart/target or online as well.
