My gecko's Not Pooping

Hi I have a leopard gecko and he wont poop ever 2-3 days it takes him about 4-5 days now and when he does its large and well shaped but I am stilll worried something is wrong and I use repti carpet not sand please respond back

Martin, as long as it looks normal, it's not a problem for them to skip days.
What are you feeding him?
Has he cut back on the amount he eats?

Yeah his poop is normal and I feed him crickets on a regular basis and waxworms every 2 weeks

hey im having the same issue with a leopard i adopted... i havent seen her eat in a few days now is this normal for female adults? thanks

Yes, it is normal.
Because of the winter weather, I dont expect to see my leos eat normal
until Spring, as they tend to go into a mini brumation.
Your gecko may also have either just shed, or about to.
Sometimes (not always) they will fast during this period.

Yep, it sounds like your doing everything right.
I was going to ask you if you only fed mealies, because they tend to
make my leos constipated, but I see you are feeding crix, that's good :)

It wouldnt hurt to check your floor temps.

No, you should never leave crix in the tank with your leos.
They can pester the heck out of your leo, can stress, and even
bite them.
Now, a nice dish of mealies would be fine though.

yea i was worried about my geko she poos like every 3-5 day lol

Maybe your gecko may have mild constipation? A drop of mineral or olive oil or maybe a warm bath and a tummy rub might help.

ok thanks. i usually leave like 1-2 crickets in there over nite and in the am i pull em out if they are still there....

last nite betty ate like 4-5 crickets in 1 feeding i was happy...:main_thumbsup:
