ok, so i first got a leopard gecko about 5 years ago, and had no intention of ever getting another one, nor breeding. Well now I work at a reptile store and have been bitten by the gecko morph bug. I currently have 8 leopard geckos, and i want to get into breeding, heres what I have:

1 male normal
1 female hi yellow
1 female blizzard (might be banana blizzard)
1 female hypo tangerine possible ct
1 male albino tangerine
1 unsure of sex blizzard
1 unsure of sex hypo tangerine
1 unsure of sex albino luecistic

i say unsure because they are not yet breeding size, and they are only about 2-3 months old so i cant tell for sure yet.

Anyways, this being what I have, what would be beneficial to breed to what, or like what could happen if i bred any of those 2. Im trying to understand all this like codom-dominant, recessive, stuff, but im really confused, so help me out please.

I posted alot of pics of these guys on kingsnake.com, ill take some more later and post them here. just got the female hypo tangerine poss. ct today, and already she ate 5 silkworms and 10 crickets, within 5 minutes of being put in her new cage.

btw props to goldengategeckos, my buddy and I picked up our albino tangerines there at the anehiem show, and they've been eating like pigs. I just wish i could have went to the show myself to look at all her amazing geckos personally, but i had to work.. maybe next year hah

Welcome to GeckoForums.net!!! I'm glad you are happy with your new Golden Gate Geckos!

As far as breeding projects go, I would suggest breeding the various morphs together with similar physical characteristics. Basically, there are 3 'core' recessive genes that will only express themselves when crossed with the same gene:

1.) Blizzard
2.) Patternless
3.) Albino (3 strains, Tremper, Las Vegas (Rainwater), and Bell)

For example: blizzard to blizzard, patternless to patternless, and albino to albino (same strain). Then, pair up your normal to hi-yellow, and your tangerines with tangerines. Once you know what they produce, you can have some fun with those offspring!

Good luck!
