My girl Xena

So here is my little Craigslist "rescue." I took her in because I felt so bad for her since the guy had been trying to rehome her since early February. She was housed in a 10 gallon tank with two other females who were twice her size. When I picked her up on 5/22, she was so thin, small and dark. Look at her now :p She is a very fiesty eater and is always ready to eat when she sees me. And don't worry, I know all about quarantine and have been washing my hands a lot in between, before, and after each gecko's handling. She does seem to be steadily gaining weight though and she has consistent poops.

Here she is in her CL ad:

Here she is the third day home:

She has put on some weight, grown a little, and colored up quite a bit, but she is still a small girl. She is nowhere as big as my fatty Rex. Hopefully with time that will change. I hope she is not stunted as the guy I got her from told me she is already 1+ yr old :main_no: Do you guys think she will get bigger??

This is her from 6/3. (about to shed)

And here is a recent pic of Rex for size comparison. Rex was born 9/09. Sorry they aren't in the same sort of position in both pics. Rex loves to explore so it's hard to get him to keep still. But you can still kind of tell by comparing both geckos to my wrist.

Anyway, thanks for reading all this and sorry this is quite a bit longer than I intended!

Xena is brightening up nicely! Give her more time to grow though, as ariana said. The thing with leopard geckos is that their size is so variable. Rex is naturally gonna be bigger just cause he's a guy, but like people geckos are varied in size. She just might be a petite lady and there is nothing wrong with that. : )

I only keep rescue geckos right now, so it's nice to see another owner taking such good care of these lovely reptiles!
I hope she keeps improving and is a joy for many years to come!

Thanks guys :) She does seem quite a bit smaller in comparison with Rex, but I guess I have no idea how big leos usually are, since my only reference is Rex lol! I do hope that she'll get a teeny bit bigger :D

Also, is she a hypo? I had no idea she was actually yellow! Poor gal must have not had much heat.
