My girls got new tile today ^_^

My dad called me and asked if I could help lay some tile, so I headed over to give him a hand. When i got there, I saw he had picked up a really nice wet tile saw at a pawn shop. Score. I picked up some new 12x12 slate tiles, and had my roommate measure the inside dimensions of my tanks. The tiles in Eris's cage fit fantastic. I need to trim about 1/8" off of Moka's tile, because the silicone in her tank is a little thicker.

Yes, I need to clean up. And yes, Moka is getting fat. LOL.

Also, I made them both a couple of nice Slate hides, but I forgot Eris's in my CRV, lol.

lol thanks. I'm gonna take some styrofoam I have hanging around at work, and build some kind of fake rock second level because they both seem to enjoy climbing.

The 12x12 tiles fit the medium low tank perfectly?

They didn't fit perfectly. I chopped about 1/2" off of each side. The tiles in the back are like 5" x 11.5", roughly. The inside dimensions of the medium low are 23 1/8" x 17 1/8". Take into account the silicone sealing the glass, and you're at just under 23 x 17.

Nah. I took advantage of the wet tile saw my dad just picked up from the pawn shop. It was $60. Gave it a good scrub and it's like new.
