My heating gradiants, need input

So, after extensive research and numerous purchases I'm finally in the last stages of my set up of my Exo-terra medium low enclosure (24x12x12). I'm running a medium size UTH, and I have a combo dome over the top on a stand with a 60W blue day and red night bulb for supplemental heat as well as lighting. I'm running these on timers to cycle ~12 hours on for day and 12 for night. now, I'm in my second day of stabilizing my temp gradients and they look good in my opinion. In the day today I had 95 surface of warm hide, 84 air temp on warm side and 77 air temp of cool side. Night time temp with red bulb on is currently 93 surface, 81 air, 75 air. I will leave red bulb on all night as it's very cold in NJ right now and I keep my house temps at 66-67 at night. Any thought or changes? I feel like I have pretty good gradients right now

95 is a bit warm. I might try to get it down a couple degrees more during the day and night into the 88-92 range. 92 is better for babies and closer to 90 for adults. In my experience bulbs over 40 watts are a bit much for a 10 or 20L but your temps don't sound too high. Also the geckos can see red light so it will be like having a light on 24/7. I would recommend a black light or a ceramic heat emitter for night time. Also, make sure you have a good moist hide as over tank heat tends to sap the humidity from the air and can cause shedding issues.

Good job getting it set up before getting a leo! I wish more people would!!

I agree with using a black light instead of a red one. The red ones seem to disturb them. And I recommend getting a temperature gun. It is the most accurate way of measuring your floor temps. I don't know what you are using to measure temps now, but a temp gun is something I'd never be without.

Thanks for the advice. I did/do have a digital probe thermo but I did just buy a heat gun. Allows me to take temps all over the enclosure. I have some surface spots on the hot side that range from 96 down to like 89 near the hide. My leo does go in the hide at 96 but also comes out and lays where its 90. h
He also does not move to the cool side much at all and lately is rarely using the moist hide so this is telling me that he is thermo-regulating for his comfort zone at the moment correct? If he was too hot I'd think he'd move off right?
