My homemade incubator

This is my first homemade incubator that I've made, it is regulated by a remptitemp 500r which has proven to be very consistent for me (after purchasing I have read positive and negative reviews). It is a 10 gallon tank partially filled with water, heated by a fully submersible aquarium heater(50watts) and a 100watt heat lamp. A "Tupperware" container is partially filled with gravel and then topped off with eco-earth, holes are punched in top and a thermometer is placed into the substrate and a hydrometer on top, with the thermostat remote running under the eco-earth. The container is propped up on to rocks and is partially submerged into the water. I have it set at 88 degrees and has been VERY stable! You just need to let it warm up and slowly drop or turn up the dial until your thermometer reads the desired temp. Here's some pics, comments welcome. :D

Are you measuring air temp and water temp? The air temp would be less than water temp. Hmm...
Ummm no, I'm only measuring substrate temp, that of in the tuperware container... the thermometer has a long metal probe that is stuck deep into the eco-earth... I now have it set at 89 f* and it has been very stable....

i dont understand why people dont just buy a hovabator from like LLLreptiles. theyre 35 bucks and thats with deli cups and vermiculite. unless of course you have ALOT of loe eggs, or python eggs(thats the only reason i have a home made one.) if not for that i would just stick with hovabators. i guess if it works for ya tho, then stick with it.
