My leo is having problems with his eye

My leo has been having eye issues. Last month when he shed part of it got stuck in his eye. After soaking it i was able to get it out of his eye. Now a few days ago my boyfriend realized that there was stuff in his eye. It looked like a mixture of gunk and some unshedded skin. I soaked it and was able to get a lot of it out of his eye. He had it opened and everything seemed fine until yesterday when i noticed that he isnt opening it at all. I dont know why he is having such problems with this. He has a shed box and he enjoys spending time in it and everything else is shedding fine except for his eye. ( i am not sure if its the same eye that has had problems both times or if its just the general area of where his eyes are)

He is still eating and drinking just like normal but his eye is closed. I am not sure what to do. Should i be really concerned or just wait to see if he opens it on his own?

i aint no exspert bt i would take him to the vet to make sure his eye hasnt got an infection coz thats what it sounds like.... kinda gecko conjunctivitus

If you feel the need to take him to the vet please do but I have one with the same issue and I just kept soaking it each day and eventually finally all the shed came out. Every time that I thought I had it all there was more but I kept at it and she is fine now. Please don't take this as me not telling you to take her to the vet, just sharing an experience I had. Hope he gets better soon.

my gecko is having the exact same problem.. never had such a difficult shed.. and hes got some lil gunky/skin stuff on/around his eye and around the corners of his mouth.. been like this for over a week now, maybe almost 2!! But everyday ive been soaking it, putting him in a container with warm water, etc.. and i make some progress everyday.. thers no skin on him anymore, but the corners of the mouth are a lil gunky and he still is closing his left eye a lot..
