My Leo is not eating again

My Gecko has been a happy camper for the last year and a half.

He is on a diet of superworms, usually eats one a day, depending on his shedding schedule.

For the last five weeks he has barely eaten and the last few days he has taken to slumping into his water bowl all day long. Does not look too good.

His eyes are clear and his tail looks fairly healthy.

I am new to this forum and to some of the ideas. Like CA water and Slurry.

If I want to hand feed him for a bit to get some sustenance into his body, can someone outline for a newbie the best way to do this.

Bonus points for a vet that deals with Geckos in Los Angeles.

Off Food?

Hi Henry.
Like to help, but not real sure you have a problem.
Many of mine have slowed down on eating.
You might try smaller worms.
But other than your comment:

First I would certainly suggest a scale to
give a better idea of perhaps weight loss.
And do a lot of observing and teasing with
food on tongs. Cut a meal worm, rub inners
to the geckos mouth. Get it licking.
Get in the rhythm of the mouth opening
and tong a meal worm END in to be clamped
on. Persistence...as many may be spit out.
Tapping the side of the mouth will also get
it to open up.
The slurry or baby food meat can be used.
But again....I'm not sure you have a real
eating problem.
